The Manchester Branch of The Embroiderers’ Guild will be celebrating 60 years of stitch with a ‘NOW & THEN EXHIBITION’ at Ordsall Hall, Salford, Manchester starting from Sunday 14th February 2016 to Sunday 22nd May 2016.

There will be workshops available to get you inspired and stitching, you never know, you may want to join us at The Guild.

  1. Binca Bookmark

Use simple stitches to create a colourful bookmark

Children aged 7 – 11 years with accompanying parent.  No previous stitching experience required.  All materials and equipment provided.

Maximum of 8 children per session – book on the day, or just turn up at 1.00 pm or 2.30 pm.

1.00pm to 2.15pm and 2.30pm to 3.45pm (2 sessions)

  1. Explore-a-stitch

Develop your knowledge of embroidery stitches and learn some of their variations whilst stitching a design based on patterns from the Radclyffe bed.

Children aged 12 upwards and/or adults.  Some basic embroidery knowledge is preferable.  All materials and equipment provided.

Maximum 8 stitchers per session – bookable – £5

  1. School and childhood embroidery reminiscence project

Bring your school embroidery and tell us all about it.  We’ll put your story and a photograph of your work on our website for all the world to see!
